My buddy Loki came to us through our daughter. Loki is our "grand dog". When Nancy went into the Coast Guard about 6 years ago she asked us to take Loki which was not a problem at all as he was already a part of the family. My daughter had brought Loki back home from the University of Tennessee as she prepared for the USCG basic training. So Loki was exceptionally well trained and fit into our family no problem. Since that time Nancy went all over the Pacific fell in love and married Zoe adding Jetson into her family nucleus. They recently added Newton (Newt) to their family as well.

Congrats on the daughter! CG is awesome. If I got a life do-over I'd do CG or some kind of Merchant Marine or fishing stint. Love the sea!

Last week the first night in a hotel room with my 4,5 months old puppy. Need to take some proper jacket pics with my boy.

She's almost 1 year old and super shy. She's a rescue from a local shelter where I was volunteering a few months ago. I already had two cats but decided to take with me because she had knee issues and cats like that are usually destined to stay at shelters forever. These are pictures I made to feature in one of my future articles on my blog.

This is Lisl von Schlaf. Obedience, agility, and personal protection trained and is my constant companion. I raised her from a pup and she will turn eight on October 26th. Three of her brothers all work in Law Enforcement if they aren't retired by now. One in Kansas and the other two in Canada.

Gorgeous pup. Might wanna keep him away from the white stuff, though. His brothers might issue a warrant.

A hummingbird flew in an open garage door & must have exhausted itself trying to find its way back out. It was still alive so it was gently carried outside & within 5 min it had recovered & flew off on its own.

I can only imagine how exhausted the hummingbird was trying to find it’s way back outside. Heck, if truth be told; I get exhausted watching a hummingbird fly! :D

I’m glad everything worked out well in the end.
