V.C. Brunswick's picture reminds me of a dog we had when my sons were little. She was an Aussie/Chow rescue that liked to watch television. She would sit next to my son and watch whatever he had on. I've had quite a few dogs in my life, but most paid little attention to the TV unless there was a doorbell or some other thing that got their barker going.

We had a Miniature Poodle that we rescued as no one wanted her at her advanced age. At the time we had one of those huge rear-projection TVs and when we first brought her into the house there was a fellow on the TV sitting in a chair. This almost-blind Poodle attempted to jump into his lap and bounced off the TV screen. It was funny and sad at the same time...

Thanks Greg for you kind words, I am glad you liked Assi, she was a very fine dog, we will really miss her.

Thanks to everyone, you words are welcome and help us to get through this very difficult time. The loss of a dear family member is not easy.
I know it's not much consolation now but 15 yrs + is a good life with them. But we're never ready & always want more from them.

Heartbreaking, my condolences. I hope that you have many photos of Assi that you can look back on. It's never easy. My wife keeps all of our pets name tags, that they wore on the collar, on her key ring. Every single one is a happy reminder of a special friend. Thinking of you and your loss.
