My TC DOES hunt. I found her chewing on a rat a few weeks ago. Greaaatttt......

El Principe only hunts insects. He's particularly fascinated by moths. When one got into the house not too long ago, it was all I could do to keep him from tearing up the living room! I'm sure he'll eventually graduate to rats and mice. :p

Reminds me of my little two year old Nephew standing at the screen door as the family gathered in the living room. Everyone watching..he quickly grabbed a fluttering big moth off the screen..stuck it in his mouth..turned around and smiled with the wings sticking out. Before his Mother could run to him...he swallowed. Everything erupted into crisis mode as his little smile turned into terror of what all the fuss was about..but too late. I rolled off the couch in laughter which was looked down upon as just quite awful. Wish I'd had a camera..!!

Zeus left me a present in the backyard today. Looks like he caught an opossum last night. :p
You sure it isn't just playing dead?
I've heard that about them.
Especially on the interstate. ;)

My girls are convinced there is a rat in or around my shed out back.
Could be, so each time I get the mower out, I let them inspect the shed.
One looks in the shed, while the other one goes in back in case we have a "runner."
Nothing yet.
If only the Bedlie wasn't easily distracted!
One minute she's sniffing for uninvited guests, and the next minute she's chasing a moth/bug.

Yeah, I had one of those play dead situations before so I was wary this time. It didn’t get closer than a shovel handle away. It was long gone by the time I found it though. Interesting how they behave when you use ventriloquism on it though. :p
He could do a better job on the squirrels though. The furry tailed rats richly deserve to be found the same way.

We got bad news from Agent Smith's doctor. He has terminal liver cancer, with 6 months to a year to live. It's been a somber day today. We will enjoy spending time with him as usual, but somehow, even more so. His 12th birthday will be February 1, 2015. Seems a bit young for a indoor feline. Pic of him tonight relaxing in my lap.
