Just beginning late last year I have started to film every event I've attended with members of the lounge. I am quite positive I am not the only one who has filmed the loungers, even before I began.

It would be a REALLY BIG help if those who are holders of footage of the members of this website, vintage related events, YOUR OWN ADVENTURES and of themselves in the vintage atmosphere would be kind enough to offer your footage to me, if it is still in your possession or you know of where to find it. If you have some, please send me a PM and tell me of the footage you have, if you still have it or know who might, and if I could get a good quality copy of it. :)

This is not an OFFICIAL VIDEO and therefore no relation to the creators of the lounge but a project I am hoping to build up

Thank you to everyone who can provide Lounger footage in advanced!

What are your plans if you don't mind me asking?

A montage

Do you have any footage to provide? :)

Sounds cool. I've been around for 11 days, not really much time to get around to collecting film archives of members. Sorry. I'd love to see it when you're done though.

That and this would also be perfect!

What scene in the Majestic?

Does anyone have the History Channel footage available?

I had found out within the past few months of an attendee of a past years "Adventure On The Queen Mary" event had filmed the entire event as well and were offering copies of it. Does anyone know of this lounger, if she is still around?

EDIT: Found her. :)

I have footage of myself being a WAAF in a plotting room for an episode of some programme that was made by the History Channel here in England about the Battle of Britain, but I have NO IDEA how technical things work, so don't ask me to post it.

May I just add I look suitably concerned as the 'battle' rages overhead!

Do you have a solid copy on a tape or DVD?

If so, if you'd be willing to share it, I'd love a copy. :)

I made it into a TV spot for MacAlpine's Soda Fountain just recently. It's a very short clip (a minute, perhaps), but I am featured pretty prominently. Would that count?

I also have footage of me swing dancing in the soda fountain for an episode of "Arizona Highways."

Oh, and there is footage of me in a few vintage fashion shows as well--I just need to secure a video from the person who filmed the events.

Assuming the members who appeared in this video footage would consent, it would be cool if loungers uploaded footage from group events on YouTube. Just a thought...

If you would be willing to part with them briefly, please let me know!

I've been in a number of promotional trailers for the local film society -- such as this one: http://www.saltwaterfilmsociety.org/trailers/mmt_1.mov

I'm the gal hanging the washing on the clothesline (as filmed in my actual backyard). You can also spot me buying a ticket and walking into the theatre, and making an emphatic point from the audience.

haha!

:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

That was great!

I'm going to watch it again.

Ironically I know where the background music came from :whistling

Who did the voice over for these?

Were they all filmed on the same day?

Could you find out if you can get a solid copy of it, strictly for the footage of yourself?

Easier said then done. lol

I've uploaded 2 so far.

Look up fedora lounge, you'll find about 4 or 5 of them.

Anyone else have video footage of themselves in their vintage best, or at an event, a friend's house, from a film, from a commercial, etc and is willing to provide it to me?

:D

Are you actually FILMING or just videotaping?

This is a pet peeve of mine.

:drum: :drum: :drum:

Filming is done by a cinematographer*. Videotaping is done by anyone who can slap a cassette into a camcorder.

Filming requires knowledge of cameras, film stock, optics, and lighting techniques. Videotaping requires a wad of cash large enough to buy a camcorder and some tapes.

Filmmakers are artists. Videographers are paparazzi.

:D:D :D

*Usually in association with a director, lighting director, director of photography, grips, gaffers, assistant camera operator, set decorator, electrician, best boy, and at least twenty people who stand around and don't even pretend to be working and only move when the craft services truck arrives.

lol lol lol (that last response was funny)

Doe anyone else have footage of themselves in their vintage best and are willing to provide it to me? :)

Or who has footage of a previous or recent Vintage or Lounge event.

As much footage as possible would be great!
