That's a funny size. It's not a 46 as suggested by the seller, but even if it more likely a 42-44, the shoulders are only 18 inches while the sleeves are 30. This is even more than my monkey arms would need, but the shoulders seem very narrow. After all, a coat is supposed to be worn over a suit, isn't it?

Rudie, it's a raglan shoulder so maybe he measured it from where the sleeves hits the collar ?
they certainly don't look like 30 if that is an 18 shoulder (which would have to be an estimate anyway because of the raglan).

TT, have you seen the film 'Vera Drake' ?
i think it's a really good onscreen depiction of a late 40s - early 50s everyday British look. not glammed up the way most modern period films are. that coat would fit right in with the wardrobe.
