@Carlos840 that’s not dull but I do think two things apply.
1. isn’t Stuart using a slightly different leather these days? Since he’s so secretive we have no idea if it’s a new tannery, new hides from a new distributor, new tanning method; but whatever it may be; within the last 2-3 years many here have said there is not a huge, but definitely noticeable difference in leather. The new stuff is slightly less armor like and wears in a little bit faster? I think that’s important for new to LW people.
2. grain is different than patina. Which of course you know that haha. I just mean why some might say that though...is because they are used to CXL and CXL like leathers that wear faster, gain patina, or even veg tan leathers that can patina like crazy.. or even teacore. Take all that then they see LW and they may crease and grain but they are not the same. To me I wouldn’t say they are boring- but definitely different and I can see how to the untrained eye people would think this. But someone like you who knows all the different leathers, finishes and variables; you know how to see the unique beauty in this leather.
