Lost Worlds Speed Demon

This is a jacket I have been guilty of overlooking. I suspect that it is a natural reaction to gravitate towards jackets like the J24 or the Leathertogs when browsing the Lost Worlds site.

Problem is that this classic style has been so overdone that we tend to gloss over it, Any person on the street wearing a "biker jacket" will most likely be wearing some cheap version of this great classic.

That is until I saw @Monitor wearing his, he just rocks it so well!

So I had to pay my respect to this style, and decided to do so by going completely opposite to my usual approach, i.e. to make this jacket as pure and classic as possible. Heavy black HH, no customisation whatsoever and top end zips.

It is similar to making steak, how good it comes out solely depends on the execution and nothing else.

I should mention that the jacket has already been worn seriously for over a week in these pics

I thought about having a clean back, but glad I decided against it, this seam is just perfect!

Love the teeth on these zips!

This jacket is one of the most comfortable I own despite being over 4.5oz. It weighs 3.62kg / 7.98lbs yet feels so easy to wear. Walked with it the whole day, no fatigue, no issues. I can't say the same about other lighter jackets as I own. The weigh rest squarely on the shoulders.

The range of motion on this jacket is one of the best I own, and the jacket is indestructible, making it so useable. It is an easy jacket to use in all circumstances that will handle everything... if you were looking for a daily wearer that will age beautifully, this is it!

To me this is the epitome of this style

How do you compare the speed demon with your j24? like comforts and fit

This Speed Demon is more comfortable, and offers a better range of motion, as for fit, I think I need to take another pic. I will try to post it here a bit later, so we can all compare

Unique jackets are cool but making a classic such as this stand out is IMO what truly shows skill. Like a good pair of Levi's. 'cause no matter how much you pay for something, there's just no guarantee it'll be the look you're after.

Reason I'm a fan of Schott is that their jacket stands out. This is possibly the most overdone jacket style in the world and yet only a handful of makers do it right. None quite like Schott.

Something about their jacket looks right. It's balanced, proportional, all the details are just right... Fine Creek kind of proves my point. They coulda easily come up with something of their own or pick any other vintage jacket but for Leon, they chose Schott. Says a lot, I'd reckon.

And Lost Worlds got very, very close. While I still say it's not Schott (I mean, look-wise; material & make is obviously light-years ahead), they're among the handful of makers that got it right.

Only thing I don't get is the thin belt, though I can't say yet whether I like it or not. But other than that, Stu did it with this jacket.

There's also no denying it owes a LOT to Schott. To say they took a few cues from Schott is an understatement, The jacket shares pretty much every single feature with the Perfecto and that's a good thing.

Ugh, dunno where I'm going with this but I guess I wanna say great fit, Red. Perfect jacket. Perfect. I should know. ;)

If your chest is between 43 and 44, you should be fine. at 45 might be a bit tight. Please post pics whrn you get it :)
I will definely post it. I never thought I will purchase something unique like that. I was all over the Langlitz columbia or LW J23, speed demon. But when that J24 pops out, I just purchase it without second thinking. Even now, I am still questioning myself Am I dare to wear it on the street.

Which Schott style are you referring to?

Of course you can! If you can wear a J23, you will look even better in a J24 :D

Edit: It is a J23 upgraded in style after all

Remember when the Aero Board Racer debuted and everyone was up in arms over the vertical back seam?

It really works here; I'd call it elegant. Beautiful back.
