I’m looking at Lost Worlds on eBay… and the sizing seems be all over the place! I suspect that this is the result of poor measurements by eBay sellers; in my very limited experience Lost Worlds is true to size.

However, I’m curious about others’ experiences…. Especially if you’re planning on layering with your LW. Are LW sizing accurate, eBay measurements to the contrary? I’d trust Stu’s sizing rather than Random Seller, but is this wise?

I own three LW jackets and I think they are true to size. My size 46 LW G-1 fits very close to the vintage size 46 G-1s I own from the late 60s and early 70s. My size 46 CHP fits similar to other MC jackets I own from Vanson, also size 46. And my Ryder is a size 44 which Stuart suggested for me because the casual styles are cut a little looser than the military or motorcycle jackets.

In general, they're true to size.
Yes, some ebay sellers can throw out some different measurements than what you'd expect. Could be due to things like leather thickness, not laying jacket flat, etc...

In those cases, I've sent the seller a message asking if they can upload photos of measurements along with examples of how I've taken them. Doesn't always get a reply though.

You could check in with Stu and mention other LW jackets and their respective sizes you own and he could advise whether the one you're eyeing could work.

Another important thing is to get a pic of the size tag. Reason I bring it up is sometimes there are 2 tags - One being the numeric size and the other would show "S" or "L". This indicates there's custom sizing involved, i.e. Short or Long length. In these cases, the sleeve and back/front length measurements become more vital.
