I had just purchased a Lost Worlds Ryder in size 40 from Japan a while ago, when @ton312 listed one in size 44.

The 40 was a good fit on me, but didn't afford much room to layer, and the measurements of Ton's jacket were absolutely perfect for me, so I bought his and put the 40 up for sale. It eventually found a buyer in Canada, happily, and I've been putting some wear on the 44 lately.

Not that it's going to show any wear anytime soon. This is a **robust** jacket, and I really appreciate that. The 40 was also quite sturdy, but a more midweight leather, heavy for any other maker really, while this 44 is super heavy. In time, when this one breaks in it's going to be amazing. It fits great, looks great, and is ideal for me in these colder temperatures into the 40s over a wool CPO shirt and thermal undershirt.

Looks great, @Guppy!

I have a Ryder in stock size 42. Overall a very good fit but with sleeves and body an inch less than optimal. Stu´s prohibitive pricing prevented me from customizing the fit, so here I am. Still a great jacket with one of the nicest (chrome-tanned) hides I have yet handled (although much lighter in weight than all the stories want to make you believe...;)).

Looking sharp there on you Guppy! And yes, a good jacket toe layer under is essential in the Midwest.

I've been wearing my LW J23 today, perfect for very windy conditions and dropping temps.
