It is finally time to look at this one :)

That jacket has been long in coming for me. I remember years ago, a friend showed it to me and I thought "it looks odd" as in I would never buy such a thing.

Then having spent time here, I got used to the jacket, saw the freewheelers version, the Centinela, in Desolation Row and fell in love (yet again :D). Only problem was that it was available in smaller sizes if available at all, until I found a size 44 at Genko and... failed to zip it up. It is very tapered and I wasn't lol

Gave up on it for a while, until trying to get LW to make it. Stuart was receptive to the idea, and after putting in some research this jacket saw the light of the day. Naming it was also a big challenge as the originals don't have any names. At least Buco had numbers in the catalogs, Leathertogs... nothing. After quite a lot of thought was put into it, Stuart decided to call it the "B" which I think is the most elegant solution taking everything into consideration.

While this jacket is not the first to become a standard offering after I ordered it - that is the courrier peacoat - this is the first full custom to become so. The courrier peacoat was made off an older pattern LW had made in fabric. So in a sense this jacket is potentially the start of even more things to come :)

Enough rambling, let's take a look at this jacket!

For those who like variation in grain

This jacket needs to be either zipped up or half zipped

I was worried that by going to heavy this would not fold well, but it actually works well

Great photos RD! While I am not a fan of this design/style, it’s impossible not to see the incredibly high degree of difficulty involved in building this jacket. Better be sure with that snap setter! The details are quite impressive. The liner works extremely well too! This jacket looks impossibly well built.

The fit came out really well, posting them in a bit :D

The classic rayon lining is more sturdy and functional, but I couldn't resist this lining , especially for the first "B" :)

congrats, is your sleeve unlined?

It is lined with deerskin as in the original that was used to design the "A"

Fits incredibly well. I don't imagine ever starting to like this style but it's something alright, no debate there. And those Crown zippers look noticeably good.
