Unfortunate Experience With Lost Worlds
Despite negative feedback regarding customer experiences with Lost Worlds, I gave the guy the benefit of not having done business with him myself and contacted him about my interest in a jacket. I regret having done so. Not knowing my size, he offered to send me a sample jacket to try on, although because I'm generally a long size and the jacket he sent me was a regular, we both knew there could be a possibility the jacket would not fit properly, in which case we'd know that a long length would be more appropriate. In fact, the jacket was too short. Additionally, I noticed that because the sleeve is close-fitting, made of horsehide, and is lacking an inside fabric sleeve, the leather was digging into my wrist, making the sleeves uncomfortable. I gave him this feedback in a very polite manner. I returned the jacket, paying the nearly $30 shipping/insurance charge. I emailed the guy about interest in another jacket they offer because the sleeves looked a bit wider on their website, however I never received a response. I guess the guy likes easy sales and does not wish to speak with me further. No problema, I later purchased a jacket from Aero that is nicer and better constructed. Now I learn that I'm being charged a $10 re-stocking fee because I did not include a "RAN" code with the jacket I returned and that he charged me $22.50 for shipping the jacket to me. These charges, in my opinion, are absurd since he knew I was not buying the jacket, just getting it temporarily for sizing purposes, since they do not personally see customers. Of course, he also charged me for the jacket, itself, which, presumably will be credited to my cc. I think charging me a re-stocking fee and shipping charges for the original shipping to me, under the circumstances, is very sleazy and unprofessional. Together with his unresponsiveness, I would never recommend doing business with Lost Worlds.
