Lost Worlds J23 Review horsehide

Received my jacket last week.
3.5 oz horsehide.
Thick yet pliable.
Great understated aroma.
I ordered 44R stock.
Fits my 43 inch chest extremely well. Great fit, great feel.
I am 5 foot 9 inches. 185 pounds. Muscular build.
Stu was easy to deal with, helpful, answered all my questions to my satisfaction, and was very knowledgeable.
I am in Canada but had jacket shipped to my USA - CBI box in Niagara Falls with zero problems.
Ordered the brass zippers - Scovill
Prior to this I owned a Schott steerhide Perfecto from 1983.
I love the trim fitting styles.
This J23 is a beautiful beast!
I feel this Jacket will be passed on to my son/grandson.

Did you ask for 3.5 oz or is that the stAndard weight?

Also fz 09?? If so how is it ride?? Ive read some articles about it saying that it's a lot of fun but you have to be carful with it.. Lots of wheelies... Do you find that to be the case??

Fit is really spot on and the jacket looks as well made as we've some to expect from LW. Wear it in good health and ride safe.

I debated asking for the 4 oz horsehide but settled on the 3.5 when Stuart suggested, despite being more than willing to go 4 oz plus for me, that the fit might be affected . He was right. The 3.5 oz is more than thick enough.
I really could not imagine the benefit of getting a heavier hide.
Good eye on the FZ09. Great bike. Lots of power and torque with the triple. Easy to pop a wheelie for sure. 847 cc. Very maneuverable. It is lots of fun and the Yamaha motor is bullet proof.

That motorcycle looks great. I have a triumph scrambler and have been looking for something with more power. That is one of the bikes I'm considering. Glad to hear you like it.. How long have you been riding??

Nice looking Jacket! I have one in Goat and one in Horse and both are fantastic jackets. Superb craftsmanship!

Yes I read that it was a ton of fun but you had to be careful with it. If I'm remembering correctly the author said he loved it but he felt it was trying to kill him at times...

lol I haven't read anything about it but it's actually much like that, yeah. Maybe I'm just not used to it, is all? Friend of mine bought it this summer and it's a insanely awesome bike if you're not feeling too old for that kind of stuff. Right now I'm afraid to push my Rebel past 50... Don't know why, but I'm finding the roads becoming increasingly scary. I've been to the countryside this weekend and while it was nice, I felt so tired after just a couple of hours and wanted to get home as soon as possible.
Anyway, I think my friend already garaged the FZ09, though. Not too smart to dart around on a bike like that on a foul weather.

Three years on the street with some dirt bike riding before that.
It does have a lot of power. The throttle is very sensitive but the FZ09 has three modes that mediate some of the sensitivity. I mainly stick in the more subdued "B" mode as opposed to "A" mode for the highway. Great bike- recommended if you can comfortably deal with the power and very reactive throttle.

Yes. I avoid wet weather at all costs. The stock tires are not that good.
I heard Yamaha has a fix for the sensitive throttle. Bring the bike in and they modify the computer giving greater option to reduce throttle sensitivity.
