Speaking of which... you know you need a leathertogs to complete your collection :D

You are an evil man Red!
I am actually not that big a fan of the Leathertogs, i think my LaBrea fills the same gap but slightly better...
If i had to get another one it would be a PJ-27 or a Trojan.
Right now i have my eyes on the ELMC HighwayStar...

I see Lost Worlds as The Iron Heart of leather jackets: impeccably built with high quality materials. It’s a nice jacket a most importantly you nailed the fit.

Fully agree with your review here Carlos. Incredible details, perfectly constructed, amazing fit and I really even like the "extra" snaps on the collar around which the "curly" fur collar attaches. However I prefer wearing one without the fur collar.

My only regret I had with mine is one of the two you mention - and ultimately cost me keeping this jacket. The lining. The quilted lining may be "period correct" however it's simply too warm for me most of the time. Stuart offered a denim - like cotton lining for extra which I should have specified. I would recommend reviewing your options for lining in any future purchases. Will be great to see how this breaks in further...

Carlos, will you please tell us how you use the spray water bottle on your jacket? Is it part of your break-in process? How does it work? (I’m certain a few others can benefit in this knowledge, too.) Thanks.

I just fill it with purified water and spray the outside of the jacket liberally before putting it on.
I will also rub it in with my hands so that the water penetrates a bit rather than just bead and roll off.
If i am at home that day i will do it periodically, every 30 min or so whilst i wear the jacket at home.
If i am going out i just give it a good spray and rub before i leave the house and try to wear it untill it is dry.

I use purified water because London tap water is very hard and it leaves white droplet marks as it dries.
If you live in an area with soft water you might be ok using tap water.

How does it work? I don't know, all i know is that water makes the grain pop out and it really speeds up the way the leather molds to your body. The more you wear it humid/wet the better it looks.

Thanks, Carlos. That’s helpful. If your pics below demonstrate the result of only 6 months, then I’ll give this spray a go for a Lost Worlds cross zip that I have on the way.

Any further update?

I went for a ride in my LW CHP today. Went through about 30 minutes of really heavy rain. During the pucker-tightening experience, I kept thinking that my jacket is going to look bad ass when I’m done...and if I survive lol. I did, and the jacket looks awesome.

Yeah, heavy rain really helps.
Recently my GF and i spent four days in Wales, it rained NON STOP all day everyday.
She was soaked, her Barbour leaked at all the seems, i was dry, but my jacket loved it even more than the spray routine.
Its the fact that it never really had time to dry at all in between wears. Water never found a way through, but the jacket definitely felt wet. When it wasn't on me it was crumpled on the floor. It aged months in four days!

Takes a real man to age, to any degree, a Lost World's jacket.

@Carlos840 do you spray the whole jacket, or just the sleeves? Also, I am assuming you do this with your veg tan jackets too, correct? I hear people say to not get veg tan jackets wet, but I have and I feel it helps them break in and get the grain to pop as well.

I spray the whole jacket front, back and sleeves before putting it on, give it a rub, put it on, give the sleeves and shoulders an extra spray and off i go.
I have done that with all my jackets, including my veg tanned ones and have never experienced any problems.
This is what Eastman do to their jackets to set the sleeve creases before sending them out, and they use veg tan leather. (at least that's what they used to do back when i bought my Californian.)

Just to be safe, i don't actually believe that, i was just giving you a Lost World website answer...
