Sorry about the delay!

Finally found the camera. We went to our son's house last weekend, so the camera got packed. I had no idea where my wife had put it after unpacking.

But enough of that. Here's what I've got. I think the first one, the Richman Brothers, will fill the bill nicely!

Borsalino:

Sears in brown. The actual color is a darker reddish brown.

Sears in grey. (I keep forgetting--do we Americans spell it grey or gray?)

Will let them go cheap, plus shipping. I'll send you a PM. If you want any of them I will post them to you tomorrow via Priority Mail and you can send me a check at your leisure.

Regards,
Tom

Oops. I missed your post where you said he'd decided on the Jaxon. :eusa_doh: Well, my offer still stands should he still want a brown hat or a selection to chose from!

Cheers,
Tom

Thank you Rob. That looks very nice. It might be just the ticket -- as it were. :)

As promised, I managed to stop the boy long enough this morning for some quick snapshots. I apologize for the poor quality of the pics, but we were in a hurry to get him to school.

Here is the outfit her wore.

The hat is a wonderful Richman Bros. courtesy of Tango Yankee. It fits to a "T". Notice the repro. Vintage 1944 inspired press pass. I should also say that he left the cool black leather(ette) flip-top notepad and silver cross pen that he is using today at school so they weren't available for pics. The sport coat fits, but is a bit long in the sleeve. I tried to get him to wear a white shirt and vintage bow tie, but he wouldn't go for it.

Here are the two other hats at his disposal. First the Jaxon crushable wool felt:

And finally the Borsalino (sans press pass), again thank you Tango Yankee.

If anyone is interested, here is what the press pass looks like. I have Gimp and Photoshop versions of it (his teacher loved the idea and wanted to be able to issue them to other students in the future because fifth graders really NEED credentials). If Rob does not object, I could make that file available.

Now, while this whole thread is about hats, it threatens to careen wildly off topic and I know the bartenders hate that, so I'll call it done.

Thanks to Tom and Rob and everybody else who pitched in on this. I think my son may wind up a hat wearer before this is all over. I guess I'll have to find him a decent Panama! :)

Wonderful photos, Mark! He looks terrific! I'm tickled pink I was able to have a small part in this. :D Too bad he didn't go for the shirt and bow tie, but I too wear a polo shirt under a sport coat from time to time. He looks great in his!

Regards,
Tom
