In case anyone is interested, I have a nice vintage LL Bean A-2 for sale on the 'bay.
There is no tag but its a big-sized jacket (probably a 46 or 48 long/tall) and measures 26" pit to pit, 29" sleeves, and is a little too big for me (I'm 6'1" and 215lbs). One-piece back. Very good condition.
Thick goatskin with great patina and with the Thinsulate lining it gives the jacket a real substantial, robust feel.
