Wikipedia has gained some fame for its unreliability, but I found This list of hats and headgear interesting.

Wikipedia's ill fame is based mostly on one incident (in which a guy was falsely reported to be a suspect in the Kennedy assassination). In fact, a semi-rigorous report (I forget where -- Nature?) compared Wikipedia science entries with the same entries in Brittanica, and found the accuracy precisely the same.

... ... I've also seen entries with incorrect addresses/location information, and one where the entire article had been replaced with lines and lines of

Well for hat's sake, I'm putting together a glossary of terms for the Golden era as we speak... some descriptions that Noah Webster and Oxford put out are so limited... I just need to make sure my spell checker is on (damn growing up in the age or Microsoft Word).

Since the public are the editors there are bound to be mistakes, like on www.imdb.com. To be fair, that person really did like bacon.
I enjoy Wikipedia for what it is. It also helped me find a 30-second cartoon of Highlander with bunnies.
It is still better than the Encyclopeadia Galactica.lol
