Librarians?

...I pretty regularly get comments at work for being "dressed up", eve if I'm only wearing "collegiate" (plaid skirt, blouse, cardigan, saddle shoes).

Dressed, is the new dressed up. I regularly go by the Wichita Public Library and several of the branches. I've already read MY Library. The librarians there all dress like you'd expect a cliche city worker to dress, like they really don't care one way or the other. A friend's wife worked in the Technology floor of the downtown library for say 10 years. The library is near the hobo park and the soup kitchens, so she got to take care of "her regulars". Wichita has some of the most well-read homeless people around, they're setting in the library and the pages are flipping at least.
