"Give me the chicken! I have not had a meal for a week tracking you two down, then hand me those scrolls you have there"! Slowly the plate of food was being pushed over towards the crazed looking gun toting Rocky, when from behind him a familiar face appears, someone that could render aid to the situation, and it was...

the waitress, who saw they were out of water, and that General Tso dish, she knew, could be damned hot. As she refilled their glasses, her eyes glinted with the knowledge of a skilled eavesdropper. It was then she noticed the . . .

Behind the 8 ball,..
....prepared for all heck to break loose,...as Nick noticed that Rococo's gun was merely a cheap toy from a Cracker Jack box! He acted accordingly ,..and flung a simmering dish of General Tso's Atomic Hot Sauce deftly into Rococo's face. Thus disarming him.
"Arrrhhh!,...You toad!!" Rococo screamed, as his gun fell into Nancy's bowl of duck soup.
"Well Rococo, you little weasel,...the jig's up. So maybe now you wouldn't mind telling us all just what you're up to,..besides no good!"

'Tell you what I'm up to? TELL YOU WHAT I'M UP TO??' Heck no, I'm not gonna tell you what I'm up to!! But, maybe we can do this via Charades!' So Rococo began to contort his hands, face and body into a staggering series of twisted and seemingly unrelated positions all the while flailing at his eyeballs with his hanky in an attempt to clear the hot sauce from his orbital oculars, while Nancy, wide eyed and balanced with bent knees on the balls of her feet, hands wadded up into fists, cried out, 'Yes! I know this! First word? First syllable? Does that mean pig? Wait . . . '

"PIG"...Nick squealed..as he duckwalked across the oriental toward the only PageBoy blond he would ever allow to accuse him of 'doing pig'. He wasn't in this game..but he could be a serious player. A sap in one hand and a whisk broom in the other. This time..he was there only to clean up the mess. The disorder of his..muddle in the middle of hers. Even a Moroccan wearing moccasins to hide his true insecurities cast no shadow with those bright lights. It was all a charade..a damn pantomime of charitable gestures to gin up gymnastics of groping guilt. He'd seen it all before...but haven't we all? It was time to turn a frown upsidedown. Past time. The chicken was in the pot..though the seasoning was not. A new season was due. Every day's not an icecream party. Champagne taste better in the rain...and who's standing in line to grab that taste. Only an ass would set the table without the chair...man! We all know where you're coming from..but only half wittingly guess where your going. With all that said..he lowered the boom..you see..he had no choice. Predeterminely the cry uttered wailing from a broken soul. In the sudden dark..he left his mark. You couldn't tiptoe around the self mockery. It was laid bare in the lunacy of their game. Not even a touch nor a kiss as he lifted the veil to find the frozen snicker on her face. Fumbling for the butter knife he..........

. . . couldn't decide between butter, jam, mustard, mayo, or marmalade. 'Just what would taste best on that muffin right about now?' One never does know just what to put on a muffin at any given moment. He sniffed the air again just to make sure that all was in order because things had not been orderly lately. And the orderly was very well aware of this. She feared for her very well-being. She knew everything depended on the proper choice of spread.

He neaded the bread..although surprised that she was indeed a redhead. Yes greenbacks do make the world go round. He laid down the fiver and gave his last spin. Those colors blurred against a freckled face and allowed the chips to fall where they may. A beautiful month of renewal was in his grasp..but slowly slipping through feeble fingers. The perfumed fragrance kept the attention of all involved..but that trance was old school. A lesson learned. Old heart spurned. Bridges burned. The worm had turned. Although passion yearned. It was all good folly. Afterall..the journey was jolly..by golly. Blame the name whispered into the very being. Kosher..nontheless with bitter intention. The map was opened..but just where does one go. The same trail? Shall we still sail? I pondered that for only a New York minute. Not worth the tribute or past glory. The sun was setting. Lower than she realized. Should she grab the whip and follow me? The manner of dress was appropiate. The stride was exciting. Her smile was inviting. She could sure bake in the island sun...and the icing was always sweet. Danger in those eyes could bring me home again. A reflection of myself once spoke nicely of you. Will she wear pink?..Or faded blue. It's all up to you....but then it always has been. As the door slowly opened.....

. . . she had no idea from where she had come, where she was, or where she was going. Her world was like the Yellow Submarine 'video,' consisting of a series of unrelated images, thoughts, and patterns that seemed to make no sense, at least on the surface. But down through the murky depths of consciousness, semi-consciousness, and yes, unconsciousness, there was a possibility, albeit slim as it was, that some semblance of logic might be lurking. As she spun even deeper and deeper out of control, she began to realize that maybe she wasn't as out of control as she had initially thought. Maybe this was some form of control, one that had been previously undiscovered by humankind, or at least her own mind. Finally, she decided to let herself be enveloped by the ride that may or may not consume her entirely. Would she emerge as she had been, or burst forth from the other side of this experience a changed person?

You mean....return unphased from the real reality? Unblemished in wanton desire to know the unknown and find true depth within the inner being not mentioned in any manual. Instructions lost in space. Space without a trance. Little debrief..seldom relief. Enlightenment lit from the marvel beyond wisdom or wit. To dance among the stars. Bi-ways breaking barriers and lifting the bars. Leap into the abyss. Drop into darkness to find the light. Who can guess ramifications to let 'er fly..and remain self? Self centered..self aware? What do you dare? Do you care? Escape the cloud for cryin out loud. Good sense need not be common. If the flame does burn who would return? Answered questions is the main concern. Carry the torch..feed the glow. When you return would you still know?

All these things she pondered as she continued down the rabbit hole. When will she hit bottom, she wondered. Will there be a bottom? Or maybe she was going the other way. Maybe she was ascending. That thought offered a whole new palette of possibilities. What if she emerged on a higher plain? What if it was a place that either she, nor anyone else had ever been to before? What if she was ascending to that one place where everyone does go, once in their lives? If so, why did she feel that she would be able to tell about it once she got there? But who would there be to tell? Would there be anyone? Tangible? What if everyone else, if indeed anyone had, who may have made this trip felt this same way? Were they all as hopeful of an outcome where nothing had really changed, yet at the same, everything did change?

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she felt as if she was slowing down. She became aware that the movement she was feeling, as indescribable as it was, might be coming to a stop. And then suddenly, all was quiet. She blinked. Once. Twice. On the third opening of her eyes, she became aware that she could see again. Through her eyes, and not just through her mind's eye as she had been seeing throughout the journey. And what she saw, or thought she saw, made her gasp.
