This is one in White Gold Filled, with plain bezel. The Guardsman is a big favorite of Illinois collectors.

Yes, it’s a Ladrador, an early brand of Omega, retailed by Allworthy brothers

My Great Grandfather's watch. Made in 1891. Keeps time as well or better than my Rolex which is @ +1.5 sec.

Nothing surprising about a railroad standard Waltham of grade "Vanguard" keeping excellent time!

Those 23 jewel 18s Model 1892 pocket watches were & continue to be world-class timekeepers. It looks like the watch has diamond balance staff cap jewels.

I'll bet that your great-grandfather & other ancestors kept it well maintained. These things will last for hundreds of years if regularly cleaned & oiled ... wear it proudly during your custodianship.

This is the only vintage piece in my rotation, I usually wear it with suits. I think it's from the late '70s, I found it in a pawn shop about ten years ago and the guy working the counter sold it to me for $10 under the agreement that I wouldn't bring it back if it didn't run or wouldn't keep time (it was marked $65). I paid $5 for a jeweler to put a battery in and it's kept perfect time ever since. I think I got a bargain.

I've got a mid-2000s rectangular Buluva that is 30mm wide, and this Seiko is noticably smaller, but I'm not sure exactly how wide it is (26mm, maybe).

Someday I want a mid-60s Omega Seamaster, but I've got nowhere around here that I would remotely trust to service it.
