Nice Omega half hunter, keeps excellent time but not used very often.

My father 1952 Omega, before and after restoration. The dial was shot from many years in the warmth and humidity of SE Asia, but the result means I wear it daily when I do not need a more "rugged" watch.

Fairly new to hats here, a bit more of an "old hands" when it comes to watches ... :)

Hahaha! Thanks Nathan!

I have to say, I really love your watches! They make my collection look like dog-doodies.

Incidently, here is my collection:

As you can see, nothing as great as yours...*iz humbled*

You're crazy! Those are all beautiful watches... And I love the chains as well! What's that last watch? It looks like a private label of some sort.

1924 16 size Illinois with conversion dial. By the 1920s hunter style cases were out of style so many of the hunter movements were retro-fitted with these "conversion" dails so that they would line up properly as an open face watch... Notice the seconds dial at the 3:00 position. This one is housed in a Hamilton glass back display case.

The watches are...

1920s TACY (Tavannes-Cyma) Admiral (15j).
1896 IWC Schaffhausen (15j) and 1900 Waltham Riverside (17j).
ca. 1952 Ball-Record 435C (21J. Six adj. Full RR watch).
1918 Elgin (again, 15j).
1899 Waltham M1895 (7j). The label on the dial is for a jeweller here in Melbourne (that no longer exists).

The Ball is my pride and joy. I've wanted a RR watch for years but I never thought I'd ever afford one. But I got that one on the cheap.

Some beautiful watches. Watches and knives have been a money pit for me over the years.

Except for my grandfathers old Waltham, most of my vintage watches are from the 60's and 70's.

RAF Pilot's Watch

My mum purchased me this watch for Christmas this year. It original belonged to an RAF pilot during the Second World War. It appears to have originally been gold plated although most of the gold has been scratched off over the years, giving it an awesome distressed look. It's quite annoying to wind your watch every morning but its well worth it when its an awesome vintage one!
