Coca Cola's Logo

cocacolalogo.png

This same logo has made it's way around the world, from the soft drink, to neon clocks, refrigerators, iceboxes, coolers, jukeboxes, hats, t shirts, neckties, cell phone covers, scarves, posters, alarm clocks, and more items than I could ever remember seeing. I think most of us probably have our share of items with the famous Coca Cola logo on it, whether new or old. Here's my small but sentimental Coca Cola Collection.
The Matchbox car is a 1933 Ford Coupe Roadster

Let's see yours. :)

Wow, let me gather up all my stuff, and then take pics of all the stuff at my Grandmother's house, then I can overload the FL servers with all of it.lol

My Grandfather was a big coke collector, and I definitely caught the bug.

For my birthday I recieved a mexican commemorative coke bottle set that included reproductions of every bottle made since the 1880's. I'll post a picture when the camera's batteries are full.

That sounds great. My mom has a couple in different languages. The Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida did have a great Coca Cola exhibit, but that was 1999 or so. I do not know if it's still there but you could taste soda from around the world and they had a small section of Coca Cola products from around the world as well.

These are genuine Coca-Cola fountain glasses salvaged from a defunct drugstore -- not modern repros.

The smaller two date to the mid-forties, and were the standard five-cent size. The two on the end are the "King Size," introduced in the early fifties, selling for a dime. (You could still get a King Size Coke for a dime at Searsport Drug Company, my hometown drugstore, into the early seventies. I'd stop in for one every day after school, complete with a paper straw that got too soggy to use after just a few sips...)

I am not a Coke collector, but some people think I am, so I get a lot of stuff as gifts. I'm kind of ambivalent about the whole thing, yet I understand the aesthetic appeal. That said, here are some of my Coke things- the "machine" is an old refrigerator that we had painted red & then I screwed a Coke license plate to the front.

It's great to have the real thing. My grandma has one, but I am not sure whether it's authentic but it has always been the glass I've drank from at her house. Miss Lizzie, were the glasses left over by a family member or were they something you found and decided to buy?

Neither am I. I came across these items without the intention of saving them as a collection. The water bottle came from a shopping mall, the restaurant is no longer there, the cup came from another state, after taking a drink, and the bottle was in a cabinet in the living room. The car on the other hand I just thought looked neat. :p My uncle was a big Coke Collector. You can tell by what he left at my grandma's house.

That refrigerator is beautiful. I've seen a lot of Coca Cola iceboxes. I saw one in the shape of the bottle. The top and the cap were the freezer.

There's a hardware store in Waterbury, CT (i'm pretty sure that's where it is at least) that still does nickle cokes. They're only about 4 oz, but it's still cheap, and pretty cool at that.

Well, here are the aforementioned bottles:

I originally didn't know wether to drink them or not, then I thought that the idea of aging coke wasn't very appealing.
(Hmmm... looks like I forgot to wash 'em!)

Would an old Coca Cola bottling plant count?

The company I work for acquired a bottling plant some time ago, currently we use it as a warehouse. I'm not sure as to the exact year it was built, but we think it was sometime in the thirties.

It seems I misspoke Re: the bottling plant, it appears that we own the building next to it, not the actual bottling plant-Everyone just says take materials to/from the Coke plant because it is the most easily recognizable building in the area.
However, I do have some pictures of the building and I will be posting them in a few days.

Well being an Atlanta native, I was surrounded by Coca Cola growing up. I have several pieces around the house I should try and take some pictures. That refrigerator is very nice. The nicest thing I have is a metal medium size portable "beach" cooler with the bottle opener on the side and aluminum tray inside to keep your sandwiches out of the ice. It sits in the living room and is used as a small toy box for my girls.

Wow, that's a $150-200 toybox.
