Thank goodness for the 'front page' of this site or I would never have known this thread existed. I'm surprised but delighted and happy to see guys restoring old bicycles. Much more interesting than restoring yet another 60s Mustang...

Here's mine - a Dahon Jack I bought cheap at the Lincoln Antiques Fair. It folds in half for stowing in the trunk/boot when I go to fairs and its ideal for cruising along on all surfaces including grass while surveying for 'antiques they don't know the value of' [/URL]

From the 1952 Sears Wishbook, this is what I found under the Christmas tree that year. It carried me many miles over logging roads and survived several spectacular crashes.

The side-pipes on the tank is my favorite
feature about the Higgins bike which I'm
building.
I was fortunate to locate a pair of the original
cast metal pipes from Chestnut Hollow .
