Best to try some jackets on, see what you might like. You live in Texas? Stag Provisions carries Schott Leather jackets. They have stores in Houston and Austin.

My BMG Montana. It’s a great jacket—supple, heavy leather, and it has full Knox armour that I don’t see or feel.

I’d like to wear my Schott 141, but there’s no option to put armour into it. I may check out some D30 ghost armour in a mesh shirt of some sort…

The fairing definitely helps! Mainly, makes a big difference with wind fatigue. I always run cold, even in the summer. So, I don't really have issues with being too hot. Most new HD's are liquid cooled now, even when stopped at red-lights, these motorcycles run about 50% cooler!

I do miss the Road Glide fairing on cold days or long days on the Highway. Plus, I had too many speakers hooked up to multiple amps. Boom!! Lol. Too old for that shizzle now. I think. But now I use my full face Bluetooth for music and chill on the Road King. Never going back.

This is (was) my Triumph Wykin. Nice thick buffalo leather, made in Vietnam. I sold it because I couldn’t layer anything under the jacket and still breathe. The Triumph dealer ordered me a medium based on me trying on a different jacket that they had in the store. Unfortunately they weren’t the same cut…

The jacket had some issues… it came with a zip out vest liner, and had perforated leather on the inside of the elbows—great in warm weather, but deadly painful in cold weather, as I discovered not long after buying the jacket. I had the perforated leather closed up professionally, but the inability to layer was a dealbreaker.

I did like the style though.
