Resortes805, on your second post, the last three appear to be re-pops - TinTan (Orange County), Perhaps?
They are actually from a repro line called "Old Gold." Here's a better shot of the same jacket on victor from Lil Luis and the Wildfires.

As you can see from this mayhem, it has a belt in the back too.

Flat-top has a Hollywood suit dating back to Avalos' Tin Tan era.

Man, the pictures aren't coming through on my office computer. Yeah, Old Gold is an older repop company. I've owned some of their pullover shirts about 8+ years ago. I picked it up at Aaardvarks in Pasadena. Yeah, back when La Bomba was mainly 40's/50's vintage, Avalos had his trousers on the racks. He makes "Hollywoods" upon request. What do you think of Nicks "Hollywood" digs? His "Hollywood Rogue" shoes are AMAZING, but I can't see spending over 300 for them when there's so many other vintage digs I want. Not to mention, I only payed pennies for my Jubilees.

The Hollywood Rogue line has some great stuff, the "Eton Hall" style hollywood jacket I have pictured is a Hollywood Rogue. I kind of regret not getting a pair of the pink and black shoes.

Oi, back in February or March I passed up a complete original pattern of a 2-tone Hollywood jacket on E-bay. Wasn't "my style" at the time.

I'm kicking myself right now. :rage:

Earlier this year at Goodwill I found a green and black outfit almost identical to some of those pictured here (as a college student, my retro-wardrobe is largely comprised of what I can find at thrift stores). I was surprised that it appeared to be virtually new; the designer's name was inside and I wrote it down. I looked it up online and discovered that they were still manufacturing these outfits! I have since lost the name-- and din't bookmark it-- but it was two words, IIRC, and one of them was phonetically similar to "Carmel" or "Carvel."

Carmel made great jackets in the late 40's/ early 50's:

I missed this thread before. i was surprised to see the checked pattern. I have a green and black, with dark blue sleeves. I assumed it was homemade, but maybe not. Never was able to wear it with anything. Not really very practical. What do you wear it with?

Well I can remain silent no longer!

Label read "Revere Sportswear - For AMERICA'S up to the minute men" (Oh yeah, I love vintage labels!!!!)
