Cracking invention - one of my favourite Danish things.

Interesting to note that in Australia the plural of "Lego" is "Lego".

One plays with ones Lego. At the end you pick up your Lego. Sometimes, a few of the Lego bricks get lost down the back of the lounge with the loose coins and TV remote.

My American wife referred to it as "Legos" when she arrived here.

Any Brits want to enlighten me on what the plural is over there?

I have only relatively recently heard this term "Legos", and exclusively from Americans. Growing up in Ireland, it was always "Lego" - as Dav says, "Lego" like "sheep". Funnily enough, I'm just looking at it again now, as Nephew is getting to the age (he'll be five in November) where proper Lego will be an option.

Hi Edward

You know that 90% of Americans add an "s" to the end of any word to indicated plural. Woman / Womens, Lego / Legoes, etc. It's part of that whole barbarian thing I guess.

Most all of my math comprehension skills came from playing with Lego. I learned relationships between numbers by figuring out how many bumps I needed to do what I wanted to do.

It was also an early "kids these days" moment for me. It seems at some point in the 80s or 90s, every lego set became a kit of sculpted pieces designed to build only one thing. I remember thinking "When I was a kid, we got six square blocks and a set of wheels and you had to make 28 different things out of it." My first big Lego set was before Lego people had articulated limbs or faces on their heads. They all looked like the icons on the door of a public restroom.

I wouldn't mind having this one! I saw it last week at the Lego Store in Downtown Disney.
