I think it's really cool.
You definitely have to be careful with shoulders so that they don't protrude too far. I would say at least 2-3" less

Why not find a maker on Etsy and have them make you a proper leather vest from scratch? There are a lot of makers there who build leather vests for a living, instead of wasting money on some fashion stuff like the RMC. Cut-off's are a specific thing and there are makers specialized in making them.
Vanson's vests tower over everything made nowadays, though you can't tell that from their lousy website photos but they actually cut them the right way, so that they're shaped around you and don't stick out at the back, cover the belt, etc.
I'd go with custom made Vanson or something from Etsy, personally as frankly anything else pretty much amounts to getting scammed.

Probably not quite what you are looking for but I had an order in for one of these on aliexpress. Its based on a non leather Freewheelers style. Not sure how much wear it would get but at the prices there it was worth a go.

Dissapointingly the seller got back to me to say they didn't have my size after all so had to cancel the order.

my jacket thirst is over, but I do want vests, collarless, with narrow shoulder kind of vest to wear under the jacket, with buttons and with zip, maybe with 2 slant chest pockets without zipper, and another vest with slant cargo patch pockets, and another with narrow vertical panels around the body of the vest to secretly hide elastic adjuster to fit trim. and I want different hem curved or slant one with W, and UU and another with V front hem at the belt buckle

not the jacket sans sleeve kind of vest.

FWIW I have several other vests without the collar, they’re much better for layering underneath another jacket.

I find the pockets on my Filson vests to be really useful- you may consider sneaking in some pockets if you don’t have what you need on outer layers, or don’t like using normal jacket pockets.

Also @Powerband recently got a Y’2 pony leather vest and seems happy with it. I believe he posted it in the what jacket are you wearing thread. Maybe he could give more thoughts?

Much like @JMax said you can get a custom one pretty easy.

I got one made by Johnson Leathers which I’ve been very happy with. It’s in dark brown Chromexcel but they have a variety of leathers to choose from. I just sent pics of what I wanted.

It was about $500 with custom fitting. Would have been less in cowhide.

Here’s a recent fit pic and 2 from when I got it last fall.

in my climate sleeveless jacket would be a very strong competitor for a jacket especially if they also have lots of useful pockets, I don't want to go there :D:D

I would go to JL for something like this. They have proven themselves really ace at copying jackets with nothing more than a photograph to work with. They can also make a mock up for you out of cloth to make sure it fits the way you want before they make the real thing.
