Thx bro! You nailed the boots on the head (note the big toe protrusion; I have since had them stretched and try fit much better now)

I agree that the DB looks the best. Need to get yourself Lucchese or J.B. Hill alligator boots to go with that. :D

Awesome! I'm actually deciding on getting a pair of those (in about the exact same style as yours, 705 half sole with brown edges, custom brass roller buckles, 2" longer instep straps, 11" height, only change probably being I'm going with a single midsole) or a stock pair of Wesco Jobmasters, to accompany me on my trip 'round the world next year. Could you perhaps send me some more detailed pics of your boots that will completely win me over to the engineer boots?

I have several pairs of the Wesco boots, including one pair with the 16" shafts for riding in colder weather. They are fantastic boots but you should also consider a pair of White's Nomads. My favorite engineers-style boot is my pair of Nomads, in a beautiful Horween Chrome Excel cordovan: they rock! You won't go wrong with either choice, though.

^You did so well with that one. I like the simplicity of it. The Johnson motorcycle jacket I own is essentially the same thing. Great tartan color btw.

Here are mine getting some sun, Seal Pioneer Kudu, Brown FQHH Maxwell, Cordovan Custom Dustbowl. The Maxwell has seen the most wear so far. The Dustbowl is a month old.

Nicely said. Still, there are plenty of boots left out there I wish I could have in my collection, same thing goes for jackets.

Yeah. I absolutely need to have a clearout... I have a few pairs I don't wear, while some of my cheaper shoes will evnetually be replaced with something better. Probably some old boots I can clear out too, to make way for something nicer... I'm still hoping that Aero will add a nice, traditional engineer boot to their line-up, in the same Horween CXL steer as their Jarrow boots. If they could do something that looked the part at the same quality and price of the latter, I'd take one pair in each colour....

I just wish Aero could make Jarrow boots in smaller size, I am a UK 6, and the smallest they have is 7, so sad

Insoles?

It's worked a couple of times for me in the past where a boot/shoe has been a size too large.
