Leather jacket sleeve alterations

Hello fellows,

I have a question for the people that had alterations done on their jackets in the past regarding slimming down sleeves.

I have the machinery to stitch leather products and want to slim down a sleeve on my jacket .

I want to take away material from the inseam and wonder how to end the stitching near the armpits.
Is it possible to remove 1-2cm in width near the armpit by creating a curve or is that going to look pretty weird?

I want to avoid redoing the side seams

Thanks

It can be done, but few people can actually do a good job. I know of a motorcycle suit and jacket person who is good. Not cheap due to shipping. I posted about him here before. If you are interested, let me know. I still have his info.

Good luck with your project.

In theory, you’ll need a tailors curve ruler and lots of clips, and I’d imagine the take in will come from the inside seam and not the outside one. Show some pics and tips when you go for it.
