Leather Jacket in Airplane (long flight)

Last Winter, I flew from Toronto to Edmonton, Alberta (4 hour flight/2700km) and stayed there for all of 2 hours (yes, two); just long enough to pick up our latest rescue puppy from Mexico via his foster family in Edmonton, let him whizz outside, re-do security and fly all the way back back with him.
I opted for my Buzz Rickson L2-A for the very long day of 2 taxi rides, airport terminals, both flights and UP Express train - and all indoors from the inclement cold outside. I wore it with a hooded sweatshirt and the nylon jacket was the perfect choice! I wouldn't automatically reach for one my leather jackets again for a flight after that ...
The puppy's perfect too and settled right in. Oh, and his name is Spike.

That's a seriously awesome dogo! So cute!

Flying for Canada myself in a few days, I'm still torn between an unlined Aero jacket or a denim whatever. I'll have no luggage so it's gotta be something that'll have me covered for 20 days.

Thanks a lot, Monitor! He's very cute alright. And with a big personality! He's a hoot, which is a good thing to inject a bit of life into a house full of senior rescue dogs ..!
Where are you flying to?? Right now, it's baking here and we're under a heat alert (I'm 50K north of Toronto and considered rural) and it's very warm, very humid (but no rain) and it's bloody Mosquito Alley! I wouldn't bother with a jacket unless I was working and taking the GO bus into the city to go to work - some of those buses (a coach) are so cold you could hang meat in them! That's the only time I wear my jean jacket right now and that's been it for a while.
Meanwhile, my girlfriend is in Tofino, BC and it's distinctly cool, damp and nary a bug around ...! And a shed load of rain on the way.
So it depends where you're going ...
I'd be opting for nylon if you have one ...

I'll be going to Winnipeg. Or Winterpeg, as they call it over there though looking at the forecast, it couldn't be any further from winter. Not sure any kind of leather jacket would be a good idea... I don't have a nylon jacket but I've got a few denim ones so I think that should cover it.

Though last time I was there, it really was cold. Like -25F cold... If only I had anything shearling back then, instead of that stupid skiing jacket which, while very warm and comfortable, couldn't have been any uglier. :D

Ah, Winnipeg. Yes, I think denim should suffice with a good sweatshirt for any cool evenings. It'd be a shame to take an A2/similar weight jacket just to not wear it the whole time ...
And I remember you telling me about your Winterpeg experience! But the ski jacket did its job and kept you warm - not with the style we all enjoy around here, but with brutal wind-chills like you experienced, who cares?!

And as you like the lyrics of Pulp, I recommend that you Google: Pulp + I spy + Jools Holland. Enjoy!
