One brand I didn't see mentioned earlier in this thread is Schott. I recently picked up the Schott 654 Casual Cafe Racer and wear it as much as possible. It's a cafe-style racer, so it's not dedicated to motorcycle use (per the OP's stated preference).

I think it looks good on me. And I'm close to 49.

if you plan to have hand warmer pockets, then the cuff zip better at anywhere else but the front, but if you only have minimal pockets cuff zip can be anywhere you wish, just my opinion
personally I rather have the zip at the back or the side, reason it looks cooler when half zipped, it weigh the cuff better, and on thicker hide on the front it would double or triple the discomfort on the wrist.

How about Huge Laurie? He is 58 now! (well, he is slim for a 58yr old man)

I always request mine on the back of sleeve where they are least dominant in appearance. More of a functional feature than a design element I want t show off to me. It can look cool on some perfecto styles such as the Vanson Dominator or Rock'n'Roll, though.

The only thing that matters is build, not age. You must be slim. It also depends on the rest of your wardrobe too. Nothing's worse than an old guy trying to be hip, so don't wear it with things like Afflicted t-shirts and the jeans with the bedazzled gothic crosses etc on the back pockets lol, or corny shoes, or chain wallets. And don't do the multiple bracelets thing that a lot of guys are doing now. A leather jacket is cool enough, keep everything simple

Agreed. And the kids often look pretty lame in that full regalia too.

Debb doesn't have a cool style imo, his team of publicists and personal stylists fabricated it for him.

Do you think they are his clothes from his closet or that he styled his own hair for this commercial?

No doubt that's the case with most famous people out there but the thing is, Depp's had this Rockabilly/50's Biker/Gypsy thing going for quite a long time now. Too long. I remember seeing him in clothes (and hats) we talk about here long before this whole heritage craze caught on. Like, before the internet. And nobody else wore that kinda stuff back then. Not off screen, anyway. It may all be a fabricated project by his stylists but even so, they're doing a really good job.

90's. Sears Oakbrook. The early one. Good one.
