Still that back length kinda worries me. I had an Eastman m422a 42L and it was only like 27” length which was a pretty traditional look. 29” might work better with modern jeans and pants which are worn lower on the waist, but might look sloppy. Thoughts? Keep in mind in 6’4”
Can't really help you here, I'm only 5'9", so nothing I can compare to. But if the 27" backlength worked fine for you, two additional inch may indeed be too much. But then again it depends on how tight the wool knits at the waist are. If they are reasonable tight, the jacket will sit on your hip regardless of the length and the extra inches will just gather at the waist.. but ey, I really wouldn't risk it if the jacket is not returnable.
