As most of my clothing dates from this era, I thought I would share some great pics I found of a vintage clothing store in Germany I found on myspace. Enjoy.

Man...seeing those cool pics just makes me regret all the primo gab gear I let go, for whatever reason. :(

Why, oh why would you do such a thing!?:(

I had almost 30 gabardine Ike jackets(splash fleck, 2 tone, etc...) with a few hollywoods. A fellow lounger even posted a pic here of one of the jackets I sold to him on ebay. Anyhow, I was in a rut where I wasn't wearing any of it. No matter how primo they were, they just took up space. Plus, I needed some extra cash flow. I did keep one for sentimental reasons. I might even post a pic of it on this thread. They were all rare XL sizes too!

30 jackets? Amateur.... :p lol :p
I have to say, I've thinned out my collection a bit too- mostly solid colors, odd cuts and sizes, but even then my heart goes *budda-budda-budda* in fear!
That orange and white jacket in the pictures is just KILLIN' me, I must say....

GREAT clothes, but some of the mannequins are a tad creepy! I will lay dollars to doughnuts that the camel and cream 2-Tone Hollywood jacket is a Feldspark and has crazy patterned sharkskin lining. I sold one almost identical to it in Purple and Grey for a mere $350, before I was truly enlightened regarding men's fashions. Sigh.

Yep, same jacket, I'm the one that bought it in April of '06.

I'd be wearing it today if wasn't 90 degrees outside. :eusa_doh:

Photos don't do it justice, it's one of the nicest Hollywood Jackets I've seen.
I sold this to absinthe_1900 on ebay a couple of years ago. Now, when it comes to vintage, I'm no show-off...but who are ya callin' amateur? :p :D

Firme, chavo!

Most of my "collection" is late '40s-early'50s, too, so I can dig those crazy threads, including the Bold Look ties. The mannequins are a bit bizarre, though, but kind of give a surrealistic touch (those were the days when mannequins were mannequins, especially shown by the ones with the bigotes). If I'm ever able, I'll post my Dad's 1946 grey, double breasted suit that is currently being fitted for me.

Perfect timing for this thread.

Just picked up this jacket, seems to fit into this time period. It's awesome, to say the least.

Just ribbin' ya man!
Believe me, I bought that "My Freedamn" book about 50's rock n roll wear. I felt like I owned a collection of trashbags after looking through there.
Then again, it is a conglomerate of 5 or 6 collections, so it's not a totally even match.
