That bites,

That bites, but then again, with their customer guarantee, its a no brainer. They'll make it right. And if they don't, I offer to take that zipper off your hands. Question, did you email english to get that zipper from Mash? Which one exactly and size/length? Thanks.

And yes the seller does speak (wright) English.

Thanks, one more question what fit did you choose?

Thanks, couple more questions what fit did you choose? Any more details of how it ended up too big is appreciated, I'm a accuracy freak!

Also, MASH have english section web or do i put it through a translator? Thanks!

I want a snug fit, only to accomodate a thin T-shirt. It's warm here most of the year and I have enough off weather garments.

The reason it came out too roomy is that I have taken some measurelents from a jacket that fits good, but neglected to tell them so they added their allowments ontop.( my bad ...so give them your exact measurements don't add anything )

Mash can be opend in English no need for translation, just click "open in English"on top left corner.

For the right fit you can chose from Regular, snug or roomy they do ask you what you going to be wearing under your jacket, so don't forgot to tell them.

Cheers

FWIW, my Crescent is a regular fit and you can fit a light sweater underneath.

As Touareg said, don't make any allowance for your sizing. Just measure according to their order sheet.

Hi everyone,

Over the summer, I bought a Langlitz Crescent jacket. This is their cafe racer type jacket. It is the medium weight hide (which is plenty heavy!) and medium fit (allows you to layer one light sweater underneath). I also had them make it a little longer in the body.

When I first got the jacket, it was super stiff, but has broken in nicely over time. The leather is the nicest I have seen in person and they use one hide to make the jacket.

I've noticed that there is not a lot of talk about Langlitz on this forum. If you are in the market for a motorcycle jacket give them a call(they also make bombers, but I don't know how good of a replica they make). They were very friendly and helpful on the phone and really go out of their way to make sure that you get what you want.

BTW, they don't list all their products on their website, so have them send you a catalog.

Wow.. been a while since I've been on. I can't believe I missed a whole Langlitz thread! Here are some reposts of pics of mine...

First pic is medium weight cow (still very heavy). Second pic is heavyweight cow.

Tommer, nice! I remember that mid weight brown one from an earlier post. Great patina on that one. I have a few samples of their heavy calf and it is HEAVY.
I've gotten quite a correspondence down with Dave Hanson over the last year and I have a few builds planned out myself. Great company, great history, great jackets...

I have a Langlitz Cascade, 2nd owner, and a custom jacket they measured me for in the store. It's a great place. One of the things I like most is they really have no size or fashion rules.....each to their own. They understand we all like different fits, even different fits for different jackets. Whatever works. That's why--if you're there--and try on some stuff, they can really guide you after seeing what you like for comfort, tightness, length, bulk, etc. The experience shows. By the way: their Goat is the best goat I have seen. Good choice for a Cascade. And yes: much there besides the web and the catalog....Mark

My brother owns a cascade in goat.. I agree it is very nice stuff. It's heavy enough to feel like a real moto jacket while not being too heavy. After handling it I'd definitely consider goat if I ever got the urge for another Langlitz.

Dragging this thead back up as I find the Cresent a nearly ideal Cafe-Racer jacket. I've been taking with Benny out there tosee what options I may have, and it's causing me to think instead aobut a trip to Portland this fall for a visit. Anyone have a Cresent? If the OP is still here how is yours doing now?

I have a Crescent in black goatskin. It is a very good riding jacket and versatile enough to be worm casually to a degree as well. Mine is a regular fit like the one High and Dry had. Gives me some room for layering in cool weather. I've had mine for about two years I think.
