Figured I’d snap a couple “before alteration” pics and then update when it returns from Langlitz with chest pockets and shorter sleeves. 1” off the cuffs will be right above the existing cuff dual stitch lines. I’m afraid going any shorter will make the zip section look oddly short.

That's actually a really good fit on you. Totally worth the resto-sleeve reductions. It could even work with just one horizontal chest pocket.

For my taste, the jacket is one or two sizes too big. I think even if the sleeves and body are shortened, there are still the shoulders that look quite wide. Is it worth making all these alterations?

Probably not what you want to hear but i agree.
IMO 1"less in the arms would still be 2" too long, and the body would still bee too long and somewhat oversized.
If it where me i would sell it and order a custom...

Yeah, it's a coat at this point. Needs 3" off sleeves and the body. The jacket needs to end where the zipper stops. Sleeves are just ridiculous. Not worth the alteration, best to just sell it.

I don't think it's too wide or anything, though. It'd look good in this size if only it was shorter. This is a typical Langlitz fit, with oversized shoulders and baggy chest so it's good.

The fit is definitely more "relaxed" than my usual CRs that only fit t-shirts under. The plan for this is cooler weather wear / more casual bulk attire. The arms are freakishly long, but actually like the body length. I think once the cat eye chest pockets are in to fill out the blank chest and sleeves cut down to 25.75, it will be transformed. Fingers crossed
