Gentlemen, I've decided to clear out some jackets and have a question in re: to this one. Does anyone have any idea(s) about this Columbia that is missing the usual back yoke? I haven't noticed a one piece back on a Columbia before. I took some pics last year to send to Langlitz because I wanted an idea of age and I wasn't familiar with this color lining. I totally forgot to ask about the one piece back and I was wondering if it is a way to age the jacket? I realize the Green labels are circa 1950-1956 but does that indicate an earlier 1950's jacket or maybe just a custom order?
BTW, Langlitz was very interested in purchasing this jacket to display but I was unsure of a fair value so I declined.
I have a son getting ready to go off to college in the Fall and I let him pick out one that he wanted; a horsehide Tauber CR. Between getting killed this year in taxes and the general costly nature of college I've decided to pare down the accumulation/collection.
