Reviving an older thread here. I was in Portland last week and visited Langlitz Leathers. What a great bunch of folks! The cutters and sewers are right there in front of you, in this small and intimate shop. The place was humming.... literally.

I got measured for a Columbia and now deciding on some of the many options offered. Their measurement process is quite detailed, took about 30 min and I feel confident that this will be a made to measure jacket that will work for me. This one being made for motorbike riding and the team there understand the mission of making rider jackets. They answered my dozens of questions with patience. They gave great advice on sleeve length and careful attention to front and back length. We talked about my use/purpose for this jacket, layering ability, and of course protection in weather and pavement. They had a jacket in stock that was very close to my measurements and used it as an idea. Very comfortable. Talon zippers very appropriate for the use and should work well with gloves. I'm going to add a sleeve zipper on the front forearm for my bike key, belt loops and of course, action back. FWIW, their is definitely a wait of 10-11 months but I'm good with that.

Glad to support a USA made jacket, family owned company and yet another great Oregon company. Always nice to support the home team! Best of all, supporting a company committed to keeping the leather clothing industry alive.
