DH and I don't yet have tickets, but we're hoping to make it this time. I think I might wear a dress my mom made for me for Camp Hollywood 1998! I tried it on the other day and it still looks good - considering I only wore it once, I should hope so! I think my mom'd get a kick out my re-wearing it. It's black with a loud red floral print, butterfly sleeves, and a hem flounce. Considering I was just learning about period fashions in 1998, I think it's a pretty decent repro.

Hi, I'm new here (but I've been lurking for a few months) but I'm going to Cicada. I am soooo excited. It will be living out one of my fantasies! I got a dress from Ebay. Only $31- maybe because some shrimp cut off several inches of the hem. Since it's black, I'm sewing on black lace.I think it will pass. I've got some shoes, nylons with seams and a 40's vintage slip.

I can't wait.

Miss 1940's, that jacket (or is it a cape?) is so great! I love the lining! (One of my little joys is a wonderful lining in a beautiful jacket. It's like an unexpected gift!)
Lovely dresses, ladies :)

Pretty dresses are always prettier when you know you got a bargain too! Lovely--again I plead for photos from this event when you have them, it looks amazing.

4850 (the one on the right) in a lush couture' cream beaded fabric. Oy! I got 10 days to make TWO dresses, and mine requires an abundance of beadwork!!
