Ohairas just be careful not to tie your laces in front of your corset as over time it can damage the fashion fabric and that would be sad :( I ordered a custom fabric underbust from Retro Folie and I should get it in about a week and I am SO excited! She gets fabric printed with any painting you like and pattern matches it for you and I got the two versions of Degas' The dance Class, one on either side of the busk - both corsets Ive recently ordered should arrive next week and I will be one happy little vegemite when they come :)

Hey Lady Betty, Corset Story corsets are fashion corsets - they wont alter your shape at all and you can't waist train with them. Orchard Corset make the cheapest off the rack corsets.

my fiorella custom is getting finished this weekend and should get to me in a couple of weeks and i also couldnt help but order a custom pattern (but standard sized) underbust from Retro Folie as well :) she does amazing pattern matching and can print fabric and pattern matcch it for any historical painting you choose for a very reasonable price which i'm super excited about! Lucy did a review of the brand here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSa6CaD6ZH4 if you're interested :)

Ahhh! How exciting, I hope you love your Fiorella. Retro Folie corsets are so beautiful, didn't realise they will print any painting for you. Tempting indeed...

have you received yours from her yet? and yes, Retro Folie are beautiful ! here's a preview she sent me of mine :) It's no extra cost for a custom print as well and she also did mine as a rush order at no extra cost! I can say only good things about her so far :)

Oh wow! That Retro Folie corset is beautiful! Someday I'll order a custom made one... But for now I guess I'll stick with Orchard Corset. I just ordered a maroon CS-426 from them this morning and decided to size down from a 26 to a 24. I originally wanted to go down to 22 but decided that that might alarm some people (especially family. and almost everyone in this small hick town of mine.) if I wore it around completely closed :p hahaha

I got another Orchard Corset CS-411 a few days ago! I was a bit too over-zealous and my pink satin one was just too small. I can use it down the road once I'm able to close this new one. The new one is a 26 and my pink one is a 24.

As you can see, this one's modesty panel actually covers all the way! And it isn't even laced up tightly since I'm still breaking it in.

On a side note, does anyone have 'concerned' friends or family members that just annoy the poo out of you by 'warning you about the dangers' of waist training when they have no knowledge of corset wearing or waist training at all? I sure do!

Hi, it has been a very long time since I have been on the forums, but I came back to look around. This thread has been so helpful! I have been interested in waist training but didn't know where to begin. Thanks for all of the info! I just started watching Lucy's you tube videos because of the recommendation in this thread.

Is anyone else still waist training? I just started a month ago and so far I'm enjoying it. I look forward to closing my corset over the next few months.

I am saving up for a corset from Orchard Corsets, given that they are reputed to be quite good and for such a low price - which even that I can barely afford. Now, I simply layer up three cheap (although they do have steel boning) hook and eye waist cinchers from Walmart: one small and one my size - it does give a good silhouette and doesn't cut me in half when I wear a panty girdle over it. And I am overweight, so it's a blessing - and makes my dresses so much better.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else read Victorian Secrets by Sarah Chrisman? While we're discussing corsets....
