I just bought some of their 158R raw denim jeans and they're really nice. Mihai, I can try to take some pics if you want.

Not selvage but a solid price on US loomed, cut and sewn denim jeans. Kudos to this brand and catering to the workwear enthusiasts out there :)

I just received a pair of the Pointer Brand skinny jeans that are on clearance. Definitely a nice pair of raw denim. Not selvage and not skinny either (which I'm glad of) but solid quality that will be fun to wear in. The weft is an interesting light blue instead of the normal white.

I also picked up a new Pointer Brand Hickory stripe chore coat with a band collar. This is on clearance (as are most of their garments made with the old hickory stripe fabric from China. They're now focusing on their made in America image and using American made fabric). I've had a regular hickory stripe chore coat from them for the last 8 months or so and in the photos below you'll see the difference some wear and a couple of washes make in the look of the fabric. These do shrink a good bit on the first wash. The lose a couple of inches on the sleeves and tighten up a good bit all around. Sizing on these is very large. These are real workwear and are meant to be worn on top of your regular clothes.

I'm wearing a size large. As a reference I normally wear a size 46 sport coat and an XL in most shirts and jackets.

Arm holes are a bit low (I think that's what causes this) and when reaching up the jacket has a tendency to pull up with your arms. This does improve after washing as some of the starch is removed and the jacket loosens up.

Sadly their good pricing is becoming a thing of the past. They are focusing on work wear as a fashion and being an American made heritage brand so much of their new product line is quite high priced for use as actual work wear. The items I purchased are on clearance and they're currently running a 20% off sale so pricing on these particular items is reasonable IMO.

Great review Case. I am happy that they come in at a reasonable price most workwear today is too high priced. It is workwear.

I too have one of their hickory chore coats. It is cut big for sure. In general, I'm happy with it, though I wish the fabric were thicker. Eg 12-14oz not 8-10 (think its 8oz)

I'll echo what casechopper and bretron said. I also have one of their hickory chore coats and have had their jeans in the past. If the chore coat was heavier it would be great. I remember when the jeans and chore coat were around $35. Those days are long past.

That's about what I gave for the last pair of carpenter jeans from them. Can't say I was impressed enough to spend the kinda scratch they are asking these days for another pair. I'm glad to see they are still proudly made in TN though.

Where's the info on the 20% off? Do I need a coupon code or something? THere's a sale item I've had my eye on, and if I could get 20% off, I'd jump.

Sorry Mattface, the sale ended on the 6th. They do seem to be running sales every few weeks recently though. Get on their email list and you should hear about the sales as they come up.
