Knox 20, by way of a Richmond wedding...

Spent this past weekend in Richmond for my nephew's wedding. With Saturday morning to idle around, my wife and I walked the old neighborhood of Carytown visiting several vintage clothing shops. Lo and behold, at Halcyon on N. Robinson St. I found this absolutely beautiful Knox 20:

Custom-Edge (Cavanagh); 2 1/2" brim; 4 1/4" crown/center-front, 5 3/8" side.

It was open crown in the store, and it fell easily into a center dent with some pinch, though I can find little evidence it was ever worn.

The liner and sweat are immaculate.

At $34, it was a steal. And I didn't have to do a thing to it, donning it today at first opportunity.

Now that really was a score. Cavanagh edge and all. For $34 bucks you couldn't buy half that hat in the stores today. :cheers1:

Knox 20

You scored a beauty. That is my personal favorite color, the light dove grey with the black band. The real plus, finding is in a store, where you can examine the hat for signs of mothing, smells, and the like. On places like ebay, you sometimes get more than you bargain for. I have been lucky.

You look good in it too! Enjoy! You will find the vintage are the best.
