This is what happens when you have too many knives.

What? Is there such "a thing" as too many knives? That's like having too many tools. Or too many pairs of boots. Or too many leather jackets.

Produce such as oranges and avocados come in net bags. Hams come in net bags. Oysters come in net bags. The X rolls her eyes whenever this tool is used. Yet, there's no replacement for it. A special purpose tool, which does its job. Sort of like my "oil change sockets". You can use a regular socket, or a wrench - but nothing works on an oil drain plug like a tool made for oil drain plugs.

Now how in the world is it that I was today days old before I learned there was an FL thread on pointy-stabby things?

I'm going to restrain myself, and just show two, to begin with. The first is a Dusty Moulton Yellowstone. It was the very first hand-made knife I ever purchased. I bought it from Dusty at a knife show in the old Le Baron Hotel in San Jose, CA, twenty years ago. The second is a Billy Ellis River Fox, and it's the first custom I ordered, and had made to my specifications. That one also came my way in 2004.

Again, exercising restraint, only two today. I have a thing for bowies. I've been that way since forever, and it only grew stronger when I got into Cowboy Action Shooting a quarter-century ago.

The first is one of my oldest, a Buffalo Spirit by "Cable" Joe Allen out of Indiana. The second is one of my newest, (relatively speaking), a stag-handled beauty from Craig Camerer of Illinois.
