It is written as if it is an original warjacket. Maybe people believed it?

Or maybe people want beaten up old jackets, I should put up my bomber "a2" it looks like its been in the war :D

But this is an original 1942 Aero from the 42-15142-P order! The price is quite reasonable and the jacket can be restored to a nice display item.

That's probably because it is a WWII era issued jacket. Isn't it?

That was my issue, Andrew. I would have thought the condition would have dropped the price way below what it went for. Especially problematic, in my opinion, is the shot collar, and particularly that big apparent rip at the wrist end of one of the arm.

But this is an original 1942 Aero from the 42-15142-P order! The price is quite reasonable and the jacket can be restored to a nice display item.

Aeros with red knits are especially sought after. The leather could be conditioned with Pecards and repaired professionally. With high end repros selling for $1000+ these days the final auction price of this jacket is fair IMO.
