Anyone see this great old movie yesterday... The Day the Earth Stood Still. Wonderful 4 star anti-nuke film starring Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, Sam Jaffe and a very young "Bud" from Father Knows Best...??
Great B/W Sci-Fi from the early 50's where Gort (the robot, from a real "flying saucer" (and guarded by only two GI soldiers), who could destroy the whole planet ends up to save the day and Michael Rennie when Patricia Neal exhorts him by saying Klaatu Barada Nikto... !!!

Walking through the kitchen yesterday on my way from one chore to another I noticed my wife had it on the kitchen TV. I looked at her and said, "Klaatu Barada Nikto." She asked, "what?" I repeated it and she just looked puzzled. I said, "you'll see" and just left it at that.

I remember seeing it in the theater as a kid when it was a new release. Very scary at the time.
