He was the principle person the History Channel interviewed for a documentary on the Dust Bowl a few years ago. .

I didn't see the Ken Burns one but I saw the History channel one just yesterday and it was an eyeopener , they kept refering to the "dirty 30's " in the show , boy we have it made compared to those days.

What an incredible two-part documentary. There is so much history of which I was not aware. From a story telling perspective this was perfect in scope. Enough material to cover thoroughly in two long parts without going too long.
