LOL! I was waiting for you to show up! I'll have Das Knucklehaid take some this afternoon.

Couldn't help it - of course I wanted to see how my Irvin was working for you. Looking good - and a perfect fit. It might be of some help, that the fleece will "flatten" after some more breaking in and use. Then the jacket will be softer and less tight/cumbersome in use.
All in all - congrats!

Nice looking jacket there Worf, and the pipe is especially important in getting the look right.

If you're after suggestions for number three...

Spitfire, I saw your Aces High Irvin on another forum, and that's giving me serious jacket acquisition syndrome. :(

Incidentally, how wearable are Irvins in a less than sub-arctic climate? I'm under the impression that they'd cause heat exhaustion in what passes as a British winter.

Its beautiful! Good fit.

I have eyed that jacket for quite some time now. I just need to save some more since its really expensive. I can justify it aswell since we usually get -13F (-25c) here.

How does it look from the back when you dont have the arms forward, this is the only thing Im worried about with the jacket - that it will puff up under the arms.

Thanks everyone... Especially you Spitty for being so persistent that this jacket needed a home. It'll get used trust me if for nothing other than smoking the occaisional winter pipe or ceegar. DmD "Das knucklehaid" is my brain dead 19 year old son, who I just drove back to College today. Teenage boys!!!!! Pheh!!!! I appreciate the compliments but I feel like a sausage in that thing but it WILL GET WORN!!!!

Much love everyone ...

Looks great Worf!

If you have trouble with a Spitfire cockpit then the P47 Thunderbolt is the plane for you!

Don't know how I missed this one, but just saw it. Nice jacket, Worf. That will keep you warm up there in the frozen northland. You don't have to worry about it fitting into a Spitfire cockpit, though. Now you just need some cold weather, really cold weather.

If you feel warm in that jacket, just take a plane to SWEDEN, here we got plenty degrees below Celsius!
Cool pipe!

Cheers Joakim

Nice hand carved Meerschaum (sp). I've plenty of pipes that I barely smoke anymore since I can't smoke indoors.... ANYWHERE. Here there are some parks and outdoor areas you can't smoke. Sigh... Don't know WHERE winter went either. It's figgin 50 degrees Farenheit here today. Had to whip out a HH Indy to keep from sweatin' to death!

Worf,

Here you loud and clear about the teenage boys. Mine just left to go back to college, thought his mother was going to kill him while he was home.
