Just bought my first vintage Buco...please tell me that I did okay.

I'm sweating this one a little. It just came up this morning and it was under a grand so I jumped on it. I don't know much about it, seller says it was her late father in law's and he had owned since new. It's not mint, but looks not too bad. She says no rips, holes or smells. Size 46 which my brain says is too big, but I've seen pics of @Marc mndt in his 46 and it looks amazing. This one is in Steerhide. It was a lot of money for me to drop on a whim today, so I ain't too proud to beg for some positive reinforcement.

Looks good. May be missing some studs but that’s easy. Nice find. Even if a bit large it’s a keeper.

I would hold off on your assessment till it's in your possession.

Very easy (And I do this too) to get "buyer's remorse" but hey, it appears to be authentic and to re-sell it should be no trouble - especially since there are not a lot of "size 46" vintage Buco's around at all.

Here's hoping it is a great fit and you can enjoy it!

Internet has been out here for the last few hours.... thanks for your comments sorry for not responding.

It's coming from Indiana. Like I said it popped up this morning and I just went for it. The pictures that were posted in the ad were terrible, but she knew what it was. No $250 dollar Buco for this guy. But I went for it before she got flooded with messages (which she did).

I will absolutely share pics when it arrives.

All I have to work with so far. Very sweet lady, but not the best at taking photos. Looks like some wear to the collar, but hopefully not too bad.

@photo2u sounds like you may have some tips to safely bring this back up to speed.

Also...anyone know the best way to get a mouton collar for this coat? Are the RMC versions compatible?

The RMC ones are not, but you could make one yourself or have somewhere like Johnson or Thurston make you one.
