Well okay, I can see it. 1.5" to 2" added body length wouldn't do the jacket any harm but no more! I think it should be right where your shirt ends. Looking at the sleeves, they're still flat on the test jacket so I guess you're right; once the creases bunch up, the additional 0.5" might prove to be a good call. But I've stopped buying into sleeve length and sleeves coming up short on a bike. Good motorcycle jacket will work even with 25" sleeves, it's all about how they're positioned. The JL looks like a very good MC jacket.

It's is man. A fine jacket in its own right for sure. Just handling this jacket and the interactions I've had with Alan so far...I'm sure this won't be my last JL.

I hope so man. Part of being able to control so many inputs comes with the responsibility of accepting your own mistakes. I'm hoping I get it right but I'm sure Alan and crew will let me know if I'm starting to stray too far of the reservation.

Tuck your shirt tail in so the belt line is visible, take another picture of the front and send it to Alan. He will know exactly what to do. He is a Master at building jackets. We are all amateurs here.

Fit jacket has arrived. I'm thinking the final product needs 2.5" of body length and 1" narrowed through the sleeves. Sleeve length .5" longer. The finished product should look like the last pic...
And I'm not messing with the pattern at all. No handwarmer zips, pleated back, two button cuff.

Tony, this looks awesome and I tend to concur, it's already pretty darn close to perfect! If anything 1" - 1.5" to body length and maybe .5" to sleeves (can't ever seem to be too long for me). ButI also agree don't over- think it too much. They will help you out there.

Why that liner? Maybe I'm missing something on my monitor, but it looks like a softly woven fabric that won't hold up very well, and it looks a bit bulky. Sincere question.

I'm not sure. They are really loose though and this jacket has a quilted liner. Maybe just trim them by 1/2"?

I just like the colors. It's definately soft and seems like it would be warm. I don't get the feeling it's fragile from handling it but it's a good question to ask.

No, don't trim them. Right now they're 10/10.

the body of the test jacket does need to be slightly longer as you planned (I'm not sure you need 2.5" / 5cm longer on the body though.. maybe 2-3cm maybe), but I doubt you really need longer sleeve at all.

I like the fit of the last photo, however with your test jacket it seems a bit tight on the body until the edge of the overlapping panel underneath showing through the hide. I like snug jacket, but I'm afraid on yours the pockets would be useless when the jacket fits too close to the body like that. (just my opinion)

BTW the back panel fits really cool, perhaps slightly longer right at the peak of the yoke of your jeans.

The test jacket as it is now, fits well enough that anyone not registered here would buy it at once, just as it is and not give it a second thought. So, whatever adjustments you decide for, it will be a great jacket either way. The only thing you should not do, is ordering it too tight. As you mentioned, Alan is quite strict with the "customer is king" policy. He allows you to ask for pretty much any change that comes to your mind and will not argue with you if you go against his advice. I'm telling you this because with my first Order there, I got the fit jacket and I went full ham on narrowing down side panels. Alan was like "1" on each side off" and I was like "nah make it 2"!" Yeah, guess what, I didn't hit the gym for a few months, gained 10 pounds and who's wearing my jacket now? Yeah. That's right. My little brother. Lesson of the day, Never go full retard on the tight fit quest. Or as Fanch uses to say, a jacket a bit too wide will make you while a jacket a bit too tight will make you .

Personally, I think the sleeves look good length-wise as well as wide-wise, you fill them good enough to look a bit bulked up in them, a badassery I quite approve of, rather than the sleeves looking too wide, but sleeves are a very subjective thing, so do as you think, it will probably be good either way.

Regarding body length, I believe to see it covers your belt and I don't think the style looks as great when it's much longer than that. I would add maybe 1" but ask Alan to make the back a tad longer, like on the Vansons Chopper or Model A (a drop?).That way it looks right from the front and you csn still bend forward without the jacket riding above the belt at the back.
