It was just a silly jab, but many of todays jacket producers (mainly the bigger ones) don’t design their patterns to lay beautifully on the body with curving seams and edges. Himel does, Goodwear does, and I’m sure there are others...it makes a big difference when the jacket is worn. I look for these touches when I seek out makers. It also goes to fit and proper jacket length- I feel that the back should sit around the top of your butt while the front should curve down around the hips.
Yep, a jacket that is actually cut to fit on your body...imagine if others were to do this instead of making square jackets that crease up as they break in.
Update on this @handymike. Looks like it wasn't by design lol for god sake the jacket shrank a good 1.5" after getting wet that's why! It was 22" back length before, now it's like 20.5".
how does the lining fit now? Did that shrink as well?

Mine didn't. When they get whet I always make sure to lay them flat to let them dry, without any heat source.Does aniline leather shrink?
