Johnny Depp's Latest Hat...

One of my guilty little lunchtime pleasures is to peruse the website of a particularly nasty little tabloid newspaper here in the UK - sometimes maddening, sometimes hilarious, often hilariously maddening... Anyhow, I noticed an artice today on Johnny Depp - in the News section, so it's not just your common or garden celebrity inanity. In it, he's wearing this hat:

I rather like it. Looks like a nice felt, and I love the contrast ribbon / brim edging. Anyone seen this before? A bit of a change from his oft-seen worn-in/out hats...

Love it, unsurprisingly. It looks similar to what I remember of his hat in dark shadows. Also similar to my vs Bobby blue.

Yeah - he can't actually grow a beard so that sparse facial hair just looks bereft. Bloody awful hat - only he could make it look vaguely cool.

The wide ribbon is OK in my book, what I hate is the front brim flipped up look.

Its almost like 'I like wearing hats but I have to do something goofy with them so people don't look at me funny when I wear them'.

Hat's in good repair, and doesn't have comical proportions. I don't see any problem with it. I love the color, just not a fan of the flat brim. I'd gladly wear one like that, if the brim was flanged. (snapped down in front, of course)
