J. Hückel's Söhne "Prima" for the French market:
this hat was sold by "Chapeau Raoul" in Nevers
Label says "A V" so "Alpha Velour", as Steve indicated
French Point 6 1/2 (fits perfectly), possibly (late) 1920s (?)
brim at 6.3 cm, crown at the dent at impressive 12.5 cm
5.5 cm crown ribbon with a very nice bow treatment
The "ventilation system" at the front is unusual -
I only know this feature from Borsalino hats...
Nice condition except some stains on the lining

To put it mildly:
probably the little cousin in shape and age
of Steve's fantastic 1900 Habig Bowler...

This stiff felt is really rather semi-stiff:
Completely dented by shipping ,
but easily recovered thanks to this fact.
It comes with a wind cord & strongly bent up side brim.
The sweat has no print and is quite simple (but still soft);
the black lining with the gold logo is what drew me to it.
As far as the age is concerned, I'm a little unsure:
The shape reminds me a lot of Steve's Habig;
I didn't find this JHS label in his list so far...
Nevertheless, I think: pre WWI - maybe 1900s!?

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Flexible", French Point 5 1/4 (57.5 cm) possibly late 1920s early 1930s. The Stiff Felt belongs to Steve (Steve1857)

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Standard" "Crystall Velour", FP 5 1/2, possibly early 1930s. This fantastic Velour Hat was made for the Danish market and belongs to Steve (Steve1857).

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Foulard" / Drei - Spitz Marke, Gustav Sellckau Hamburg, FP 6 3/4, Date Stamped 09/16/1931. This Stiff Felt was made by J. Hückel´s Söhne (JSH) for Gustav Sellckau Hamburg (GSH). I have not encountered a "Foulard" JHS Stiff Felt before so it's unique.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Flexible", FP 5, 116 grams, possibly later 1920s. Interesting unique Box Bow.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Elastic", 57.5 cm, 118 grams. possibly mid 1920s to early 1930s. This is a Ladies Stiff Felt Riding Hat but since it's a JHS + very unique I decided to pick it up. It appears to be entirely original and in NOS condition. The Black smooth finished Felt is the same as a Men's JHS "Elastic" Stiff Felt. The 4.5 cm Brim is not curled and has downward flange with a thin Binding. The Grosgrain Sweatband with padded which is stitched in with a X pattern. The Bow is on the left side like Men's Hats. There is also has a long fabric Strap which you see on some Ladies Hats. I couldn't find a paper label so maybe this was custom made by JHS.
